Echo — Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Echo ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Echo is a voice-to-text keyboard and dictation application. It converts spoken language into editable text using speech recognition technology provided by third-party services (such as Volcano ASR, Deepgram, and OpenAI Whisper).

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may delete your account at any time from within the App's Settings.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Echo offers auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation.
Transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Interfere with the App's operation or other users' access.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Echo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. Speech recognition accuracy depends on factors including audio quality, language, accent, and background noise.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Echo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be effective as of the date indicated at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
