Echo Support: Quick, Polish, Dictionary and iPhone Keyboard Setup

Voice input isn't working

Make sure you've granted Microphone permission to Echo. On iOS, go to Settings → Echo → Microphone. On macOS, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.

确认已授予 Echo 麦克风权限。iOS: 设置 → Echo → 麦克风。macOS: 系统设置 → 隐私与安全 → 麦克风。

Keyboard extension doesn't appear

On iOS, go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → select Echo. Then tap Echo and enable "Allow Full Access" (required for voice features).

iOS: 设置 → 通用 → 键盘 → 键盘 → 添加新键盘 → 选择 Echo，然后开启"允许完全访问"。

Transcription results are empty or inaccurate

Check your internet connection: Echo uses cloud speech recognition. On iPhone, make sure you are signed in to use Echo-provided recognition. Only check your own provider credentials if you have chosen a BYOK workflow. Never share API keys with support.

先检查网络连接。iPhone 用户请确认已登录，以使用 Echo 提供的云端识别。只有选择 BYOK 流程时，才需要检查个人供应商配置。请勿向客服发送 API Key。

Do I need my own API keys?

On iPhone, sign in to use Echo-provided cloud speech recognition without your own API key. An internet connection is required. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) is optional for supported workflows using your own provider account. Available provider settings depend on the platform and app version.

在 iPhone 上，登录后即可使用 Echo 提供的云端语音识别，无需自带 API Key，但需要网络连接。BYOK 是使用个人供应商账户时的可选配置，仅适用于支持的流程。可用的供应商设置取决于平台与 App 版本。

What is the difference between Quick and Polish?

Quick is transcription only, without LLM rewriting. Choose Polish when you want AI editing. Optional formatting and translation are separate from Quick. Speech recognition can still update words and punctuation as it receives more context.

Quick 只做语音转写，不运行 LLM 改写。需要 AI 润色时可选择 Polish；格式化和翻译也按需启用，不属于 Quick。语音识别本身仍可能随着上下文补充而更新词语和标点。

Does Echo automatically learn every correction?

You can manually save names, project names, and specialist terms to your personal dictionary. That is different from automatically learning every edit. A saved term can help recognition, but it does not guarantee a correct result. Review important words before using the text.

可以手动把人名、项目名和专业术语保存到个人词典。这不等于自动学习每一次修改，也不保证保存的词每次都能识别正确。使用转写结果前，请检查重要词语。

Does Echo work offline?

Echo requires an internet connection for cloud-based speech recognition and AI polish features. Basic app functionality (viewing history, adjusting settings) works offline.

What platforms does Echo support?

Echo is available on iOS (iPhone & iPad) through the App Store and on macOS as a direct Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized download.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On macOS: App Store → your profile → Manage Subscriptions.

订阅通过 Apple 管理。iOS: 设置 → 你的名称 → 订阅。macOS: App Store → 你的头像 → 管理订阅。
