1. Who We Are

Echo is a voice-to-text productivity app developed by Xiang Gui. We provide real-time voice transcription, intelligent correction, and AI-powered text editing services.

Echo 是由 Xiang Gui 开发的语音转文字效率工具，提供实时语音转录、智能纠错与 AI 润色服务。

2. What Data We Process

• Voice data — Used for speech recognition and transcription. Processed in real time and not stored on our servers.
• Transcribed text — Used for display, insertion into your active text field, and optional local history.

语音数据用于识别与转写，实时处理后不在服务端存储。转写文本用于展示、插入及本地历史记录。

3. How We Use Your Data

• Perform speech-to-text transcription
• Insert transcribed text into your current input field (with your authorization)
• Optionally polish transcribed text using AI (when enabled by you)

完成语音转文字、在授权后插入文本、以及根据你的设置进行 AI 润色。

4. Data Storage & Retention

• Transcription history is stored locally on your device only
• You can clear your local history at any time from the app settings
• We do not upload or store your transcription data on any server

历史记录仅存储在本地设备，你可随时清理。我们不会上传或存储你的转录数据。

5. Third-Party Services

When you enable cloud-based ASR or AI polish features, your voice or text may be sent to third-party service providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Deepgram, or Volcano Engine) for processing. These providers handle your data according to their own privacy policies. You provide your own API keys — Echo does not use shared keys.

启用云端 ASR 或 AI 润色时，数据会发送至第三方服务商处理。你使用自己的 API Key，Echo 不使用共享密钥。

6. Permissions

• Microphone — Required to capture voice input for transcription
• Keyboard Extension — Required to type and insert transcribed text into apps
• Accessibility (macOS) — Optional, for global keyboard shortcut activation

麦克风用于语音采集，键盘扩展用于文本插入，辅助功能（macOS）用于全局快捷键。

7. Data Security

• API keys are stored in Apple Keychain (system-level secure storage)
• All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• We take reasonable measures to protect your data and privacy

8. Your Rights

• Revoke microphone or keyboard permissions at any time
• Delete your local transcription history
• Disable cloud-based services and remove API keys
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data

你可以随时撤销权限、删除历史记录、禁用云服务或卸载 App 以删除所有本地数据。

9. Children's Privacy

Echo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
